Theresia Orchestra’s recordings appear on the CPO label as part of a long-term partnership dedicated to breathing new life into neglected classical repertoire. From opera rarities to recently unrecorded orchestral works, the collaboration sees a series of album releases of forgotten music by composers such as Johann Mattheson, Joseph Martin Kraus, Ernst Eichner, and Domenico Cimarosa. Future recordings of music by Gioachino Rossini and Tommaso Traetta are due for release in late 2024/early 2025.

Take a closer look at Theresia’s activities in 2023.

We gave 25 concerts across Europe, sharing music by famous and lesser-known composers from our beloved classical repertoire.

During this year’s learning cycle, 51 talented young players of historical instruments joined the orchestra on its projects which were guided by experts such as Giovanni Antonini, Alfredo Bernardini, Alexis Kossenko, Chiara Banchini, Alessandro De Marchi, and Christophe Rousset.

2023 also marked our debut visit to Poland, where we encountered new audiences passionate about classical music.
