The Ravenna-based music association Collegium Musicum Classense is set to record Vannini’s sonatas for strings with the talented musicians of Concerto Theresia including Valentina Russo, Francesca Camagni, Giulia Gillio Giannetta, Federico Bagnasco, and Theresia’s own concertmaster Gemma Longoni. These works were revived by the same player in a performance at Bagnocavallo in Italy in the context of the annual festival ‘i Luoghi dello Spirito e del Tempo’ in the autumn of 2022.
A crowdfunding campaign has now been launched to support these artists and cover the production costs for the recording sessions planned for November, as well as a promotional video for the album’s release, due in Spring 2025.
Find out how you can help revive Vannini’s music from the archives of Ravenna and be part of this remarkable project!
Support Carta canta…e suona! by contributing to their campaign before the 21st of September.
